Jerry Coburn, OD
Dr. Coburn was raised in Muskogee and graduated from Muskogee High in 1971. He attended Oklahoma State University and in 1975 entered Southern College of Optometry (SCO), located in Memphis, TN. He graduated from SCO in 1979.
After graduation, Dr. Coburn returned to Muskogee and purchased the paractice of longtime Muskogee optometrist, Dr. Bill Daugherty. In 1984 Dr. Coburn and Dr. Van Odom combined thier practices and moved to their present location at 742 N. York. Drs. Odom and Coburn were fortunate to add Dr. Lorrie Richardson to their practice in 2004.
Dr. Coburn and his wife of 32 years, Kathy, live in Muskogee with their two dogs and "rescued" cat. They have two grown sons, Zach (wife Jennifer), Alex, and a grandson, Max. In Dr. Coburn's spare time he enjoys cooking and bike riding, is an avid sports fan, and frequently takes his beloved golden retriever for walks.
Lorrie Richardson, OD
Dr. Lorrie Richardson earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in 1995. Prior to her optometry education, Dr. Richardson received a degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas and worked as a registered nurse for ten years. She gained valuable experience as a newly licensed optometrist while working at Triad Eye Medical Clinic and Cataract Institute.
In 2004, she was pleased to join the well respected practice of Drs. Odom and Coburn.
Dr. Richardson is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians and has served on the board of directors. She has been involved in many community activities. Dr. Richardson is past President of the Board of Directors of Kids' Space and chairman of the play selection committee for Muskogee Little Theater. She participates actively in church and school organizations.
Dr. Richardson and her husband Jim have lived in Muskogee for over 20 years. They have three children, a daughter in graduate school, a daughter in college, and a son in middle school. In her free time, Dr. Richardson loves to read and travel.
ANGELA CHARLTON, OD
Ray V. Odom, OD, FAAO
Dr. Odom was reared and attended school in Muskogee. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma and then Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. After optometry school, Dr. Odom served as a Captain in the U. S. Army for two years. He then took over his father's optometric practice in 1971. Dr. Odom and Dr. Coburn merged their two practices into one in 1984 and moved to the current location on York Street. They opened the Eufaula office in 1988. Dr. Richardson joined the practice in 2004.
Dr. Odom retired in 2016 and his patients will receive continued care from Dr. Charlton.
