Lorrie Richardson, OD
Dr. Lorrie Richardson earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in 1995. Prior to her optometry education, Dr. Richardson received a degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas and worked as a registered nurse for ten years.
She gained valuable experience as a newly licensed optometrist while working at Triad Eye Medical Clinic and Cataract Institute. In 2004, she was pleased to join the well respected practice of Drs. Odom and Coburn. |
Dr. Richardson is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians and has served on the board of directors. She has been involved in many community activities. Dr. Richardson is past President of the Board of Directors of Kids' Space and chairman of the play selection committee for Muskogee Little Theater. She participates actively in church and school organizations.
Dr. Richardson and her husband Jim have lived in Muskogee for over 30 years. They have three children, Hilary, Molly and Jack. Hilary and Molly graduated from Oklahoma State University and Jack is now attending the University of Oklahoma. In her free time, Dr. Richardson loves to read and travel.

alex coburn, od
Dr. Alex Coburn was born and raised in Muskogee. He graduated from Muskogee High School in 2010. He went on to attend Oklahoma State University and graduated with his Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences in 2014. After graduation he gained valuable experience working at Eye Care of Eastern Oklahoma as a technician and later held the same position at Triad Eye Institute in Muskogee before starting optometry school at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry. Dr. Coburn completed his optometry school externship through Triad Eye Institute. He graduated from NSUOCO in 2021.
After graduating from optometry school, Dr. Coburn was honored to return to Eye Care of Eastern Oklahoma in the summer of 2021 and take over for his father, Dr. Jerry Coburn, who served the communities of Muskogee and Eufaula providing excellent eye care for 42 years before retiring. |
Dr. Coburn looks forward to providing the same care to these communities for years to come just as his father did before him.
Dr. Coburn loves to stay active and enjoys playing tennis, being outdoors and traveling to new places. He married his wife, Brittany, in December of 2019.
